Dr. Paul White Ph.D.

Alyssa Donnelly M.Ed., LPC

A Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's Degree in Counseling from Wichita State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Education.    She utilizes both behavior modification techniques and play therapy to assist children and their caretakers in dealing with problems such as ADHD, divorce, depression, anxiety and behavior disorders.  Alyssa has been working with children, adolescents and adults for almost ten years, and is energized by applying her skills to help others through their struggles.

   
   
 

James L. Vincent, Ph.D.

Dr. Vincent is a licensed psychologist who has specialized in working with students and young adults with a variety of learning and behavioral difficulties for over 25 years.  In addition to his diagnostic work for children with ADHD, autism, Asperger’s Disorder, and other developmental disorders, Dr. Vincent provides specialized treatment in the areas of anger management, social skills development, and cognitive-behavioral therapy.  He is currently an adjunct faculty member at Wichita State University and has published numerous professional articles on the assessment and treatment of childhood disorders.

 

Jacqueline Myers, BS.E.
For eight years, Jackie has worked one-on-one with children and adults who are learning- challenged. Previously, Jackie gained experience from classroom teaching and 12 years of homeschooling two of her children. Recently, Jackie designed and implemented a “Brain Boot Camp” program (currently utilized by a local private school) utilizing a number of instructional tools and programs to improve their cognitive and academic functioning.  Jackie serves students and families in the western Kansas area.
    “There are few things in life more exciting than teaching a person to read, write, think and remember,” Jackie says. She adds, “Well, it is also fun to make them laugh and to feel good about who they are and who they can be!”

 

Sue Schmidt, SHARE Educational Consultants

Sue Schmidt has worked as an educational consultant for English speaking students living overseas for the past ten years. Until recently, Sue lived in Budapest, Hungary and traveled throughout Europe providing educational testing and consultation to students and their families. She also conducted seminars on learning disabilities, ADHD, dyslexia and autism. Prior to her work in Europe, Sue taught special needs students for over 15 years, in elementary school, middle school and high school.

       Brock McKay, Ph.D.

As a licensed psychologist, Dr. McKay has worked with a variety of individuals for the past 15 years.   Dr. McKay has assisted individuals, couples and families with ADHD, learning difficulties, and a variety of mental health issues both as a therapist and diagnostician.  Known for his witty sense of humor (as well as his musical talent and Canadian loyalty), Brock received his professional training at Biola University (California), and the University of North Texas.  He is the co-owner of The Therapy Center in Wichita, Kansas.

       Diane Bidwell, LSCSW

Diane is a licensed social worker who has extensive experience in working with children and adolescents with significant behavioral and emotional issues.  An adjunct professor at Wichita State university, Diane has been working with youth and their families for over 10 years.  She has specialized experience and training in the areas of adoption, special needs students, attachment issues, and bipolar disorder.

 

Nancy Kersenbrock, Director Sylvan Learning Center

Nancy has a B.S. in Education from Kansas State University, and an M.A. in Administration and Supervision from Wichita State University.  Nancy has worked with students from elementary through high school levels over the past 25 years, and has been a Principal in schools in Kansas and Maryland.  Nancy also has owned her own business in Maryland. She has been the Director of Sylvan Learning in Wichita for the past ten years.
